At Southern Pharmaceutical Services, we work closely with our customers to utilize technology. Recently, our electronic medication administration record (eMAR) system, CareSuite by QuickMAR , released several updates to its program with new features to help improve resident care.
One exciting new addition is the document management feature, which allows administrators and caregivers to attach documents to specific orders and to residents’ profiles in the eMAR system. Staff can now include original prescription and change or discontinue orders, as well as the resident’s plan of care, admission documents, insurance information and more. This allows for quicker access to all important information and provides a more comprehensive resident profile.
Another feature will allow for text and email alerts to be sent to QuickMAR users from the system. These notifications can be set up to send alerts at specific times, such as when a resident’s vitals are out of range, when a resident is made inactive and more.
