Prior authorizations, like most entities within healthcare, are not a “one size fits all” process. Guardian Pharmacy of Birmingham is excited to announce that we now have a prior authorization certified specialist (PACS) within our billing department, Maranda Kennedy.
Here is what Maranda had to say about the process of gaining the certification.
“The PACS course brought clarity to the different types of Prior Authorization’s and what each of them need in order to gain approval. This positively impacts our ability, as the pharmacy, to provide the physicians and medical staff with the correct forms and needed information to create ease and increase effectiveness in this process. The knowledge I was able to gain during this course will aide in our ability to provide even better care for our patients going forward!”
