As a member of the ALAA, Southern Pharmaceutical attended the Fall Conference at the Hyatt Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama. As always, we enjoyed seeing the clients that we service as well as making new contacts in the industry.
The theme for the conference this year was “The Best Disco in Town” and vendors incorporated the disco theme into their booth decorations and door prizes. The conference was attended by assisted living administrators, directors, owners, nurses and many others. Our booth featured information about Southern Pharmaceutical’s pharmacy services in addition to showcasing our packaging, MARs and our Electronic MAR system, QuickMAR. Attending the conference from Southern Pharmaceutical was Tess Davis, Wendy Kallaher, Anita Pritchett, Terri Payne and Ann White.
We were pleased to work with our sister pharmacy, Guardian Pharmacy of Northwest Florida to co-market our booths and make plans for future conference displays, which will incorporate branding and marketing efforts by both pharmacies to showcase how each services clients in Alabama.

In addition to attending the conference, we were happy to have the opportunity to visit with our assisted living partners and invited them to join us for an evening at the Stardome Comedy Club in Hoover, Alabama. They were treated to an “improv” comedy show put on by Positively Funny Improv of Birmingham. Dinner was provided prior to the comedy show and everyone had a great evening!
